A funeral service celebrating the life of Thomas Lee Greer, age 68, of Rushville, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 31, at the Hebron home of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service with Pastor Scott Hutchinson officiating. Burial will take place in Fairmount Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home,108 North Seventh Street in Hebron.Tom was born June 21, 1947 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Roy Louis Greer and Ruth Greer Reddy. He passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family.Tom had been a diesel mechanic for 47 years and retired from the Travel Centers of America. He attended the Community Free Will Baptist Church in Somerset. He enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, tinkering, billiards and darts.He is survived by his wife, Jeanette (Spaulding) Greer, whom he married August 20, 2009; daughter, Sandy Brown of Heath; son, Thomas L. Greer, Jr. of Newark; step-children, Brandon A. Booth and Kayla N. Booth, both of Lancaster; grandchildren, Josh Greer, Logan Brown, Jacob Greer, Jordan Brown, Sarah Brown, Lauryn Greer, Ethan Alkire and Kylie Alkire; great-grandchildren, Lanie Keaser, Laiken Brown and Rosalie Brown; brothers, Dan (Brenda) Greer of Danville, Bill (Kathy) Greer of Columbus and Frank Greer of McConnelsville; sisters, Linda (Cecil) Dotson and Sally Rodgers, both of Columbus; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Lorrene Stone of Jacksontown, Connie (John) Lynch of Hebron, Cathy (Cecil) Booth of Buckeye Lake, Susan Cozad of Hebron and Curtis Spaulding, Jr. of Jacksontown; many nieces and nephews; and his special dog, Hooch.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jesse Greer.Memorial contributions may be made to the Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio.Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service in Hebron is honored to care for Tom and his family.
