Thomas Harry Ralston, age 89, of Millersport, Ohio, died December 23, 2012. Tom was born June 2, 1923 and graduated from Holy Rosary High School in Columbus, Ohio. He went on to proudly serve in the Merchant Marines during WWII. A member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, he retired as an instructor at Columbus Technical Institute with Emeritus status.Tom was a lifetime member of the Navy League Power Squadron and was a member of Buckeye Lake Post #1388, V.F.W. and Millersport Post #637 of The American Legion.An avid fisherman and pool player, Tom enjoyed his life of teaching and smoking his cigars.Tom is survived by his brother Charles (Glenna) of Sandusky, Ohio; sons Keith (Debra) of Millersport, Ohio and Christopher (Jeannine) of Columbus, Ohio; granddaughter Meghan J Ralston of Columbus, Ohio. Tom is also survived by many in-laws, nephews, nieces, along with loving friends.He was preceded in death by his son PFC Thomas J. Ralston, USMC; parents Walter G., Mary Catherine, brothers Joseph, Walter and Richard Ralston.Toms request that no services or memorial take place shall be granted.
