Thomas C. Sewards

Thomas C. Sewards, 64, of Newark, passed away at his residence on March 12, 2021. Thomas was born in Newark, Ohio on August 1, 1956 to the late William B. Sewards and Bettie J. Cooperrider. Thomas received his Associates Degree from Bliss College in Columbus. Prior to retirement, he worked for MPW for over 20 years. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye, Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians fan. He enjoyed spending time with his loving family and friends, and will be missed by everyone that knew him. Survivors include his loving wife of 36 years, Karen K. (Jones) Sewards, whom he married in 1985; children, Thomas W. Sewards and Patrick S. Sewards; grandchildren, Airiean Sewards and Sterling Sewards; sister, Diane J. Beggrow; brother, Frederick A. Sewards; sister-in-law, Bobbie Sewards; nieces and nephews, Erin Beggrow, Bill Sewards and Samantha Frizzell; and a host of cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William B. Sewards, Jr. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Thomas to the American Cancer Society, 1198 Kenny Centre Mall, Columbus, OH 43220. A private funeral service will be held for the family.
