Thomas V. Jerome

A Funeral Mass for Thomas V. Jerome, age 52, of Thornville, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2016, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 66 Granville Street, Newark, with Rev. JCP Sullivan, Parish Priest, as celebrant. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, where a prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m.Tom was born in Zanesville, Ohio on September 5, 1963 to the late Fred and Joan (Rodgers) Jerome. He passed away on March 12, 2016 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital.Tom was an electrician with Atlas Industrial Electric in Columbus, and was a member of the IBEW, Local #683. He was also a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Tom was an avid fisherman, turkey hunter, deer hunter and loved spending time in the great outdoors.Survivors include two children, Jessica Jerome and Ryan Jerome; brother, Mark (Kaycie Preston) Hermey; sisters, Ann Nutter, Maryjo (Pat) Boyle and Susie (Joe) Gatesman; one grandson; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Randy Hermey.Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Tom to St. Vincent de Paul Society, 203 Adams Street, Corning, Ohio 43730.Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for Tom and his family.
