Tommy L Denison

Tommy L. Denison passed away on December 28, 2022, from Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. He was born February 27, 1940, to Floyd and Irene (Mechling) Denison in Glenford, Ohio. Tom was the grandson of Frank and Ada ( Z artman) Denison, Homer an d Gertrude (Gordon) Mechling . He is survived by the mother of his children Linda, son Douglas and his wife Melissa, their daughters Alexis and Lauren; daughter Amy, son J. Spencer, all of Pataskala, his sister Mary Jane Sterrett and his companion Rosalie Baughman. He w as a graduate of Glenford High School, class of 1958 and was Salutatorian of his class. He was president of the FFA and was awarded the State Farmer designation, He was a member of the State and National FFA Bands and was a three-year member of the State Fair All Ohio Boys Band. He was a member of the 1958 Glenford H.S. Basketball team which went 24-1 and was ranked the number one class B team under Coach of the Year, Don Rushing. He was a 1962 graduate of The Ohio State University, College of Agriculture, and a member of the Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity. He was employed by the Cambridge Production Credit, the Newark Trust Company and Mid-Ohio Development Corporation in Newark and Groveport, retiring in 2012. Tom was past President of Pataskala Lions Club and Watkins Memorial Athletic Association. Tom and Linda were charter member s of the Hosanna Lutheran Church, Pataskala. He was a member of Highland Golf Course from 1967 until it closed in 2019. Honoring T o m’s request there will be no calling hours or funeral services observed . Tom ’s cremated remains will be buried in the Pataskala Cemetery, HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, Kirkersville is honored to care for Tom and his family. “Let there always be music .”
