Travis Edward Spicer, age 44, of Heath, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 28, 2025 at his home. Travis was born August 15, 1980 in Zanesville, Ohio.
As a construction worker, Travis took great pride in his work, showing dedication and skill in every project he undertook. He was also a valued member of the Druids. His passions extended beyond his professional life; he found great joy in gardening, watching sports, and spending quality time with his family and friends, often over a cold beer.
Travis was known for his strong opinions and steadfast nature. Yet, those who knew him understood that beneath that exterior was a heart of gold. Always ready to lend a helping hand, his generosity knew no bounds.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Ashleigh Spicer; son, Christopher Loren Spicer; father and stepmother, Everett & Barbara Spicer; siblings, Bill Hicks, Chuck Hicks, Barb Strohl, Terry Spicer, Rick Hill, Anthony Tirado, David Spicer, and Aaron Spicer; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and best friend, Jeremiah “Dough” Kirkpatrick.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lora Jean (Carr) Hill; and a brother, Darren Spicer.
Family and friends will gather for visitation from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, April 4, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, 179 Granville Street in Newark. This time will be an opportunity to remember and celebrate Travis's life, sharing stories and memories that highlight the mark he left on the hearts of those around him.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
