Trenelle R. Brooks

A memorial visitation celebrating the life of Trenelle, R. Brooks, 62, of Newark, will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, 179 Granville Street, Newark. Trenelle was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on October 10, 1962 to the late Bennie and Mary Elizabeth (Jefferson) Brooks. She passed away at Licking Memorial Hospital on December 21, 2024. Trenelle was a devoted homemaker to her family. She was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and was also a member of the Desire Community Choir. She enjoyed cooking, singing, playing cards, playing bingo and was an avid New Orlean Saints football fan. Most important to her was the time she spent at church, reading her Bible and the time she spent with family and friends. Survivors include her sons, Shawn Q. Brooks and Craig A. (Jeweletta) Brooks; grandchildren, Adrian Williams, Jazmin Horne, TyBron Brooks, Zoey Brooks, Zane Brooks and Amara Brooks; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Quentin Brooks; and brothers, Calvin Brooks, Keith Brooks Sr. and Eddie Brooks Sr. Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for Trenelle and her family.
