Veda M. Banfield

Veda Marilee Banfield, age 86, of Union Furnace, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehab in Newark. Veda was born September 21, 1929 in Hocking County, Ohio to the late Leonard and Hazel (Eden) Lacey.Veda was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Athens and loved sewing and caring for animals.She is survived by a sister, Dorothy L. Beougher of Hebron; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Banfield; and by a sister, Janet Acord.A private service will take place at a later date in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville.Memorial contributions may be made to the Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio.Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service in Kirkersville is honored to care for Veda and her family.
