Velma L. Bowers Nethers

A funeral service, celebrating the life of Velma L. Bowers Nethers, 87, of Hebron, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at the Poplar Fork Cemetery, Gratiot, with Pastor Brian Harkness officiating.She was born Nov 21, 1924, in Gratiot, Ohio, the daughter of the late Ernest Franklin and Anna Marie (Snider) Bowers. She was a retired employee of the Caine Corporation of Hebron, and was a member of the Hebron U.M. Church and the American Legion Post Auxillary of Hebron.She is survived by her brothers and sisters: Roy Bowers of Belpre, Joyce (Leland) Williams of Charlotte, MI., Billy (Ruby) Bowers of Hebron, Eddie Bowers of Texas, Helen Nauer of Hebron and sister-in-law Marilyn Bowers of Millersport; along with many nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Terry Alan Nethers, and her brother Bobby.Friends may call Tuesday, January 31, 2012, from 5-8 p.m. at the Hebron home of The Hoskinson-Schoedinger Funeral and Cremation Service, 108 N 7th Street in Hebron.An on-line guest register is available at www.hoskinsonfuneral.com.
