Vernie Shepherd

Funeral services, celebrating the life of Vernie B. Shepherd, 77, of Hebron, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, in the chapel of the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, with his Pastor, Jon Hays as celebrant. Burial will follow in Glen Rest Memorial Estates, Reynoldsburg. Bud passed away on Monday morning, May 21, 2018, with his family at his side. He was born in Toler, Kentucky, on November 25, 1940, the son of the late Vernon and Lillion (Thompson) Shepherd. He retired in 1997 from Preston Trucking Company, and was a member of the Teamsters. He loved softball, camping and Golf, but most especially watching westerns on T.V. He is survived by his loving family: his wife, Marilyn, children Robert and his wife Brett Shepherd, Vernie Shepherd III and his wife Terry; Lisa (Matt) Wilcoxon, Tracy Kirk, Londa (Jim) Messer, Sherrie (Ken) Patton, along with many other loving family members and friends. His pet companions, Dixie, Daisie, Wussie and Miss Blue Eyes also survive him. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home, 285 East Main Street in Kirkersville, and again on Wednesday from 12:00 Noon until time of the Funeral Services at 1:00 p.m.In Lieu of Food and Flower gifts: Memorials in his memory may be directed to the Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio, P.O.
