Vickie L. Grant

A funeral service celebrating the life of Vickie L. Grant, age 72, of Louisville, Kentucky, formerly of Thornville, will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the Thornville home of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, with Pastor Matt VanWinkle officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. Vickie was born in Marion, Ohio on June 9, 1945 to the late Myron E. Ralston and Phyllis (Barnhard) Lord. She passed away on August 22, 2017 at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville, KY. Survivors include her husband, Danny Grant; son, Larry Wade (Lisa) Shaub; step-sons, Danny Grant and Shannon (Kelly) Grant; grandson, Larry Aubrey Shaub; sister, Penny (Bill) Dornon; brothers, Terry (Alicia) Lord and Gary (Mary) Lord; nieces and nephews, Shane Lord, Autumn (Ian) Carfagna, Robert (Amy) Lord, Norman (Avida) Lord, and Emmalene Lord. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her beloved step-father, Norman Lord; and nephew, David Dornon. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
