Vicky Lynn Lacey

Vicky Lynn Lacey, a beloved resident of Newark, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 2, 2025. She was born on January 31, 1969, in Portsmouth, Ohio.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 15th at 11:00 a.m. at Wilson Cemetery, with Celebrant Clifford Mason officiating.

Vicky is survived by her children, James Crain, Zack Ward, Nicky Ward, and Madysan Lacey; her caring sister, Tammy McDaniels; and her brother, Ricky Crain. She leaves behind a legacy of love for her one granddaughter, who brought immense joy to her life. Also grieving her loss is her mother-in-law, Gloria Winegardner; her nephew, Dustin Lewis; and her niece, Jackie Lewis, along with countless friends who were fortunate enough to have known her warmth and generosity.

Vicky was preceded in death by her devoted father, Harold Franklin Crain, her loving mother, Yvonne Crain, her cherished husband, David Lacey, her son, Robert Ward, and her brother, Billy Crain. Their memories continued to provide comfort and inspiration to Vicky throughout her life.

Vicky found fulfillment and purpose in her work as a factory worker, where her dedication and work ethic were respected by all who knew her. Outside of her professional life, she enjoyed crocheting, working in her yard, and was an avid fan of monster truck events. Her love for her dogs was unmatched, and she found great joy in their companionship. A true homebody, Vicky was particularly skilled at fixing things around the house, embodying the spirit of resilience and resourcefulness.

Those who wish to honor Vicky's memory may make donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital, reflecting her lifelong commitment to caring for others.
