Vicky Kay Maharg

Vicky Kay Maharg, 77, of Newark, died Sunday, October 2, 2022, at the Laurels of Heath. She was born May 29, 1945, in Mt. Vernon to the late William and Thelma (Staggers) Fowls. Vicky worked at Stacey’s as manager and head cook for nearly 40 years. She enjoyed sitting outside on her bench and talking her friends and neighbors. She will forever be 29 years old. She is survived by her children, Thomas (Tammy) Luckett, Timothy (Cynthia) Luckett, Kevin (Beth) Luckett, and Sandra Wood; grandchildren, Alicia, Andrew, Crystal, Candice, Christopher, Charlie, Joe, Jay, Hannah, and Presley (her partner in mischief); several great grandchildren; sister, Jackie Scarberry; and special friend and neighbor, Lola Nixon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son-in-law, Burl Wood Jr.; and grandson, Sammuel Luckett and Bernard Maharg. A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 6, 2022, 5 pm at The Seventh Day Adventist Church 701 Linnville Rd. Newark, Ohio 43056.
