Victoria Lynn Dunbar

A funeral service celebrating the life of Victoria Lynn Dunbar, age 60, will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018, at 2pm, at the Kirkersville Home of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, with Pastor Brian Harkness officiating.Visitation will be held at the funeral home, 285 East Main Street in Kirkersville, from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Vicki passed away on Monday, October 1, 2018, after a courageous and long battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease). She was born on October 17, 1957,  to the late Delta and Patricia Legue. She was a graduate of Lakewood H.S., class of 1974. Vicki’s greatest joy in life was her family. She spent many years caring for her two granddaughters, who were the light of her life. Prior to becoming “Mamaw”, she was a volunteer firefighter and paramedic with the Buckeye Lake, West Licking and Hebron fire departments. She also worked in auto, furniture and real estate sales. Vicki loved to shop, play computer games and listen to worship songs in her free time. Survivors include her husband of 23 years, Bruce Dunbar; children Andrew (Erin) Moore and Angela Moore (Jesse Sturgeon); granddaughters Hailley Moore and Allyson Moore; Stepfather Jon Coakley; sisters, Laura (Mike) Slack, Deborah (Adam) Hughes, Pamela Baughman (Jim Witter), and Nancy J. Legue (Ron Watson); several nieces and nephews and her fur babies, Macy and Buddy In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Patricia Coakley; sister Kathy Henson; brother, Delta Legue Jr.; and a nephew Richard “Cory” Baughman. The family would like to thank Newark Care and Rehabilitation and Hospice of Central Ohio for the wonderful care they provided during Vicki’s illness.
