Violet M. Ferrell

A memorial service celebrating the life of Violet M. Ferrell, 63, of Newark, will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, with Pastor John Dotson officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the memorial service on Saturday, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.Violet was born in Newark, Ohio on December 25, 1951 to the late Robert and Mildred (Cobb) Martin. She passed away on August 16, 2015 at Licking Memorial Hospital.Prior to retirement, she worked at Service Master for many years. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, puzzle books and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.Survivors include her husband, Charles B. Ferrell, whom she married November 3, 1982; children, Angie Martin, Charles (Michelle) Ferrell, Jr., Rebecca (Alex) Sapp, Thelma (Patrick) Jenney and Steve (Beth) Ferrell; two brothers, Fred Martin and Tim Martin; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her step-mother, Mary Martin.Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for the Ferrell family.
