Virginia A. "Annie" Sears

A funeral service celebrating the life of Virginia Ann Annie Sears, age 84, of Newark, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 8, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Rev. Wilsonnia McLean officiating. Friends may call from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Wilson Cemetery.Annie was born May 17, 1930 in Newark, Ohio to the late Albert and Hazel (Delancey) Wilson. She passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio). Annie was a homemaker and had been employed with Rileys Bakery for fifteen years.She is survived by a daughter, Brenda (Larry) Miller of Newark; two sons, Tim (Donna) Sears and Doug (Suzanne) Sears, all of Newark; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchidlren; two great-great-granddaughters; sister, June Giblin of Newark; two brothers, Fred Wilson of and Frank Wilson, both of Newark; and many nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bob Sears; daughter, Sandy Davis; son, Robert Bob, Jr. Sears; and siblings, Gene Wilson, George Wilson, Gerry Williams, Winnie Stirk, PeeWee Stevens, Pat Wilson and David Butch Wilson.Memorial contributions may be made to The Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio.
