Virginia Billings Rambo

A funeral service, celebrating the life of Virginia Faller Billings Rambo, 86, of Thornville, will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 in the chapel of the Thornville home of HOSKINSON Funeral & Cremation Service, with Pastor Tom Myers as celebrant. Virginia will be buried next to her beloved husbands in the Lutheran Reformed Cemetery, Thornville.Virginia died Saturday, July 25, 2015, at her home following an extended illness. She was born June 29, 1929, in Hebron, the daughter of the late William and Alice (Cooperider) Faller. She was a graduate of Newark H.S., class of 1947 and the Newark College of Commerce. She retired in 1986, after working for Dicks sales in Somerset for over 20 years.An active member of the Thornville community, she belonged to Amvets Ladies Auxillary, Co-Founder of the Lily Pad Park in Thornport where she served as treasurer, Buckeye Lake Moose and Thornville Chapter # 156, Order of Eastern Star.She is survived by her family: children William (Sandee) Billings, Charles Billings, Jayne Billings, step-daughters Pam Rambo McKenzie and her husband Tom, Debbie Rambo Slone and her husband Gary, all of Thornville; grandchildren Amee (Pat) Crandell, Angela Swinford, Dawn Wallace, Joshua Billings, Shannon (Paul) Hill, Michele (Charlie) Shafer, 16 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands Robert Billings and Cyril Rambo; sisters Mary Eloise Endsley and June Dennis.The family will receive friends on Wednesday from10:00 am to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home, 56 S.
