A funeral service, celebrating the life of Virginia A. Ginny George, 82, of Hebron, will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hebron United Methodist Church with Pastor Brian Harkness officiating. Burial will follow in Hebron Cemetery.Ginny passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 22, 1930, in Hebron, to the late Arthur and Mildred (Richards) Byrd. Ginny was a member of the Hebron United Methodist Church for many years where she had once directed the childrens choir. Previously, she sold Avon products in the Hebron area and was a loyal fan of Lakewood and O.S.U. sports.In addition to her parents, Ginny was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Virgil George, who passed away on February 5, 1993; and her brother, Richard Byrd.She is survived by her devoted daughters and sons-in-law: Debbie (David) Bell, Sandy (Ron) Crew, Connie (Charlie) Gray, and Janie George-Harris; loving grandchildren Corey (Tracey) Gray, Clint Gray, Rusty ( Brandy) Crew, Ryan (Jacque) Crew, Nicholas Bell, Erin (Nick) Frost, and Hayley Harris; 10 great-grandchildren: (whom affectionately called her GG) Jordan , Jacob, Connor, Cydney, Caitlyn, Max, Myles, Campbell, Reagan, and Payton; her brother, Arthur (Mona) Byrd Jr.; her sisters, Rosalie (Richard) Walters and Linda Howison, sister-in-law, Betty Ann George; and many loving nieces and nephews, along with the fifth daughter Sherrie Ettenhofer, and lifelong friends Nancy Smith, Patty Zollinger, and Janice Forsythe.Friends may call at the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, 285 East Main St., on Friday, November 30, 2012, from 4 to 8 pm.The family prefers that memorials be directed to The Hebron U.M. Church Building Fund, or The Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
