Virginia "Ginny" Sands

A funeral service, celebrating the life of Virginia W. Ginny Sands, 89, of Hebron, will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, June 6th, 2012 in the Hebron Christian Church. Burial will follow at Kirkersville Cemetery.Ginny died peacefully, Saturday, June 2, 2012, at her home. She was born September 26, 1922, in Bryantsville, Ky., the daughter of the late Richard D and Ida (Stoltz) Woods. She was the youngest of 10 children; and was the last surviving of her immediate family.A lifelong homemaker, she loved her garden, reading and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Hebron Christian Church.She is survived by her husband, Forest Sandy Sands, whom she married on May 21, 1944; her children: Susie (Don) McEwen, of Lavergne Tn., Steven (Sharyl) Sands of Newark and Douglas (Lisa) Sands of Westerville; grandchildren Amanda, Carla, Melissa, Rebecca, Debra, Jason, Jacob and Aaron; 7 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 5, 2012, from 4-7 PM at The Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service, 285 E Main St in Kirkersville.
