Virginia Lee Ohlinger

Funeral services, celebrating the life of Virginia Lee Ohlinger, 90, of Carroll, formerly of Pataskala, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 13, 2025, in the chapel of the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, with burial to follow in the Sunset Cemetery, Galloway. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12:00 noon until time of the funeral at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home, 285 East Main St in Kirkersville.

Virginia was born on September 24, 1934, in New Straitsville. She retired from The Ohio State University. She attended the Pataskala Church of the Nazarene for several years where she ran the W.O.W. bible study group. She was a former member of the New Straitsville Chapter, Order of Eastern Star.

Virginia was an avid OSU Buckeye Fan.

She is survived by her loving family: Her sons Michael (Donna) Ohlinger, Stephen (Maggie) Ohlinger; her grandchildren Joshua (Carrie) Ohlinger and Caroline (Richard) Weber; her great grandchildren including her best buddy Aiden, Jenna, and Mallory; along with many step grand and great grandchildren.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband George “Denny” Ohlinger in 1991; her daughter-in-law Barb Ohlinger in 2011, and several siblings.

Virginia was a long time resident at Carroll Place and the family would like to thank the Capital City Hospice for their compassionate and loving care of Virginia.

The family prefers that memorial contributions be directed to the Capital City Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
