A funeral service celebrating the life of Virginia Virgie Annarino, age 77, of Newark, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Pastor Gus Andrews officiating. Burial will take place in Newark Memorial Gardens.Virgie was born June 20, 1938 in Grundy, Virginia. She passed away on her birthday, June 20, 2015 at her home.Virgie was a homemaker and a member of the Licking Valley Church of Christ for many years. She loved all animals and will be remembered for feeding all kinds of animals in her yard.She is survived by three children, Donna (Tim) Sears, Paul Joey Annarino, Jr. and Sandy Annarino, all of Newark; ten grandchildren, Michael, Joey, Kyle, Timmy, Amanda, Melody, Jonathan, Drew, Mindy and Wendy; 25 great-grandchildren; sister, Geraldine Glancy of Heath; brother, Bill Robinson of Florida; many nieces and nephews; former husband, Paul J. Annarino, Sr.; and her special dog, Daisy.She was preceded in death by her father, Arbra Robinson; mother, Ruby (Harvey) Nethers; husband, Gilbert Smith; son, Tom Annarino; grandson, Earl Buddy Crothers; and a sister, Emmaline Sheets.Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark.Memorial contributions may be made to the Licking County Humane Society, 825 Thornwood Drive SW, Heath, OH 43056.Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home is honored to care for the Annarino family.
