Funeral services, celebrating the life of Wallace Edward Bryant, 89, of Pataskala, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 1, 2021 in the chapel of The Kirkersville home of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, burial with full Military honors will follow in the Glen Rest Memorial Estates, Reynoldsburg. The family will receive friends on Thursday, Sept 30, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. and again for one hour prior to the funeral services on Friday at the funeral home. Wallace passed away at his home on September 26, 2021 with his family at his side. He was born in Nolan, WV, on August 22, 1932, the son of the late William and Lassie (Hale) Bryant. He worked for 27 years at a box manufacturing facility prior to working and retiring from Hugh White Honda in Columbus. A loving husband, father and grandfather, he enjoyed singing and was an active member of the Newark Freewill Baptist Church. He directed the choir at Welch Avenue Freewill Baptist Church from 1963 until 1975, and Newark Freewill Baptist Church from 1975 until 2018. He is survived by his loving family: his wife Rachel (Dawson) whom he married on Jan 28, 1955, his Daughter Kelly (Don) Bird, his sons Mark (Linda) Bryant and Matt (Connie) Bryant; along with his grandchildren: Emily, Sarah, Rebecca, Josh (Candy), Michael (Jess), Bethany, Andrea (Chris), Alison (Steven), A.J., Jeremy (Kristin), Michelle (Max); and his 9 great-grandchildren with (great grandson Jeffrey Thomas expected in October); along with his sister Barb (Tom) Chaffin, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, his oldest brother Haskel Bryant was killed in WWII in 1944; and he was preceded in death by 8 other brothers and one sister and his son Jeffrey Bryant in 2018.
