Walter "Keith" Moore

July 25, 1929 — June 2, 2018

Walter Keith Moore was born in Putnam County on July 26, 1929 and born to his eternal life on June 2, 2018. He was the son of Walter and Helen Gladys (Kent) Moore, who preceded him in death as well as siblings, Thelma Cline, Sarah Peters, and Richard Kenny Moore. Keith was a 1947 graduate of Hebron High School. He proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean conflict and was honorably discharged. Keith retired after a long career with (then) Rockwell in Heath, where he was a quality control supervisor. He was a charter member of Union Local UAW #1037, and was an active member of Jacksontown United Methodist Church. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, having married the love of his life, Marian, on October 19, 1952; she entered her eternal life on April 12, 2018. Keith is survived by his loving family: daughter, the Rev. Debra M. Moore-Hardin (Steven) of Terre Haute, Indiana and son, Dennis K. Moore (Katherine) of Grove City, Ohio. He also is survived by grandchildren Andrew (Erin) Moore, Angela (friend Jesse) Moore, Jason (Heather) Moore, Jaycob Moore, step-granddaughter Lynne McCown; and great grandchildren Hailley Moore and Allyson Moore. Other survivors are sisters-in-law Charlotte Moore, Carmen Stackhouse, and Jane Lingle along with several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 11 from 12 noon until time of service at 2 pm at Jacksontown United Methodist Church. Pastors Bob Beyer and Carol Kirk will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Zanesville Memorial Park, with full military honors. The family wishes to thank the staff of Chapel Grove Inn, Hospice of Central Ohio, and Dr. Jeremy Campbell for the wonderful care they provided to Walt. A special thank you to Rick Hoskinson for his compassionate and competent care of Keith and the family. The family prefers that memorials be directed to the Licking County Heart Association. Envelopes will be available at the service. On-line condolences may be directed to hoskinsonfuneral.com. HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, Kirkersville, is honored to care for Keith and his family.
