A funeral service celebrating the life of Wanda Lea May, age 87, of Hebron, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 4, at the Hebron Chapel of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service. Burial will follow at Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
Friends may call from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, 108 North 7 th Street in Hebron.
Wanda was born July 6, 1935 in McCarr, Kentucky. She passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Altercare Newark North.
Wanda was a homemaker and enjoyed camping, word search puzzles, and collecting angels. She loved to bake and her specialties were her peanut butter pie and butterscotch cake. She loved to host her family each year on Christmas Day and did that for many years. Wanda was a member of the United Baptist Church in Gahanna.
She is survived by three children, Sharon Dupler of Hebron, Bill (Debbie) May of Thornville and Jack (Laurie) May of Newark; nine grandchildren, Jeff (Pati) Dupler, Stacey (Dusty) Rose, Bridget (Jason) Fulk, Pam (Chris) Ward, Charles May, Tony (Brenda) May, Doug May, Jackson (Jessica) May, and Casey (Thad) Thompson; several great-grandchildren; brother, David Harris of Ransom, Kentucky; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles May in 2010; son, A.C. “Tony” May; father, Frank E. Moon; mother and step-father, Nessie Virginia (Huddle) and Earl Harris; sisters, Emma Lou Hatfield and Betty K. Plymale; and a brother, Frank Moon.
