Wanda Marie Sothen

Wanda Marie Sothen, age 62, of Newark, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at her residence. She was born June 6, 1960 in Zanesville, Ohio to the late Harry Lewis and Mary Alice (Roberts) Sothen.

Wanda was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, crafts, and flower gardening. She loved spending time with her grandbabies and her pet cat, Cheeto.

She is survived by two children, Katey L. Taylor (Jeff Ankrum) of Saint Louisville and Jason Taylor (Jennifer) of Newark; grandchildren, Stephanie Marie (Corey) Burgess of Corning, Christopher (Brittany) Blankenship of Mount Perry, Brooke Blankenship of Mount Perry, and Emily Taylor of Newark; great-grandchildren, Levi, Paisley, and Payton Burgess and Ezra and Charlie Blankenship; brothers, David (Debra) Roberts of West Virginia, Harry (Judy) Sothen of Toboso, Ronald (Katherine) Sothen of Newark, Gary Sothen of Newark, Bobby (Anna) Sothen of Brownsville, William Sothen, Jr. of West Virginia, and Robert Robinson of West Virginia; sisters, Betty (Elwood) Hamlin of Berkley Springs, West Virginia, Barbara Smith of Saint Louisville, Mary June (Len) Ross of West Virginia, Bonnie Bunting (Buck Rader) of Newark, and Lisa (David) Radwell of Middleburg, Virginia; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Charles Roberts, Jimmy Sothen, Sarah Ann Robinson, Linda Bennett, Roy Hyre and Walter Robinson.

The family will observe a private gathering.
