Wayne "Speedy" Paul Troyer

A memorial service celebrating the life of Wayne Paul “Speedy” Troyer, 56 of Glenford, will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Thornville chapel of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, 56 S. Main Street, Thornville, with Pastor Mark Raaker officiating. Speedy was born in Akron, Ohio on September 4, 1966 to the late Vernon and Virginia (George) Troyer. He passed away at his residence on May 20, 2023. Speedy was a heavy duty truck mechanic with Zarley Incorporated for many years. He enjoyed fishing, turkey and deer hunting, but most important was the time he spent with his family and friends. He will be missed by everyone that knew him. Survivors include his loving wife of 33 years, Nancy L. (Hiles) Troyer, whom he married July 1, 1989; daughter, Shana Lee (Jamie Evans) Gordon; sister, Staci (Todd) Bates; nephew, Brice Bates; nieces, Carrie (Kris) Ford, Melissa Nichols and Amanda (John) Howard; great niece, Taylor Bollinger; great nephews, Shawn Bollinger, Mavrick Ford, Maddox Ford, Noah Nichols, Elias Howard and Silas Howard; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Speedy was generous by giving the gift of life to others by being an organ donor to Lifeline of Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Speedy to Lifeline of Ohio. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
