A graveside service for William Lee Barker, age 85, of Etna, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 15, at Etna Cemetery in Etna, Ohio.
William was born November 25, 1936 in Etna, Ohio to the late John Francis and Mary Elizabeth (Mason) Barker. He passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Bill was a 1954 graduate of Etna High School and was a self-employed truck driver for many years. He enjoyed classic cars and showed his cars as a member of the Good Guys Car Club. He also enjoyed collecting Heisey glass.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Carline (Bowers) Barker, whom he married August 25, 1956; three children, Beverley D. Butts of Pataskala, William Lee (Kim) Barker II of Granville, and John Steven Barker of Etna; five grandchildren, Marci (Shayne) Bishoff, Kristine (Brandon) Rennard, Katlin (Christopher) Bookhamer, Kelly Barker, and Ryan Scotty (Leeanna) Barker; great-grandchildren, Aaralynn, Audrie, Cambria, Aubree, Connor, Ezekiel, Emelia, Makenzie, Kendall, Ezra, Jaeden, Kaleeah, and Kaeyanna.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Cox; and a great-grandson, Joshuwa.
