William "Bill" G. Porter

A memorial service celebrating the life of William Bill G. Porter, age 83, of Heath, will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the memorial service Saturday, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Military honors will be observed by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.Bill was born in Denver, Colorado on December 26, 1933 to the late Gerald and Lucy (Allen) Porter. He passed away at his residence on November 16, 2016 while surrounded by his loving family.Bill graduated from Crooksville High School, Class of 1951. Prior to retirement, Bill worked at Rockwell International for 30 years. He was an avid New York Yankees fan, was a master woodworker, enjoyed flower gardening, golfing, fly fishing and spending time with his family and friends.Survivors include his wife, Irene (Schultz) Porter, whom he married December 24, 1992; children, Kathy (Chuck) Hopper and Andrew Porter; step-children, Gary Kittle, Ed (Kathy) Kittle, Brad (Pam) Kittle, Kevin Kittle and Cheryl (Brian) Fink; 14 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Thelma and Dorothy.Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Bill to Foundation For Hospice of Central Ohio, PO Box 430, Newark, Ohio 43058-0430.Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for Bill and his family.
