A funeral service, celebrating the life of William Owen Bud Guyer, 80, of Harbor Hills, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 25, 2017, in the chapel of the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service. Bud will be buried with full military honors by the Licking Co Veterans Alliance, next to his beloved wife Carolyn in Holy Cross Cemetery, Pataskala. Bud died Monday, August 21, 2017, at his home, with his family at his side. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on December 13, 1936, the son of the late Woodrow and Mary (Roach) Guyer. He served honorably in the US Marine Corps, and owned and operated Gutter Team for many years. Bud loved fishing, boating and spending time with his grandson Cole. He was a graduate of Jacksontown H.S., class of 1955, where he played 6-man football. He was a lifelong resident of Harbor Hills. He is survived by his children: Kenneth (Gina) Guyer of Sheffield Lake, Sean (Tammy) Guyer of Harbor Hills, William Buddy Guyer of Columbus; a brother Ron (Shirley) Guyer of Pierson, Fl., his six grandchildren Kyle, Alyssa, Caitlyn, Cole, Woody and Emily. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives Carolyn Rose Guyer on October 4, 2016 and Marilyn Slone Guyer in 2001. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 24, 2017, from 6-8 p.m. at the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, 285 E Main St. in Kirkersville.
