William Jeffery Bunting

A funeral service celebrating the life of William Jeffery Bunting, age 63, of Newark, will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 3, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home where military honors will be observed by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street in Newark. Due to Covid-19 concerns, the building capacity is limited to 35 and masks must be worn inside the funeral home.

Bill was born December 8, 1957 in Newark, Ohio to the late John Harold and Bessie Marie (Scott) Bunting. He passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

Bill was most recently self-employed with his brother in construction. He was formerly employed with R&R Pipeline, Sunfield, J&L Poured Walls and Everett Oil. Bill enjoyed bowling, being outdoors and tending to his flowers, working on cars and homes, and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie J. (Sothen) Bunting; son, Steven Lee (Katrina) Bunting of Newark; daughter, Billie Jo Bunting of Newark; grandchildren, Maciah Jordan Bunting, Steven Matthew John Underhill, Liberty Marie Bunting and Daytona Bunting; brothers, Robert (Sandy) Bunting of Kentucky and Bruce Bunting of Newark; and nieces and nephews.
