William C. Adams

William Cleveland Willie Adams, age 64, of Hebron, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2016 in Pataskala from smoke inhalation when his truck caught fire after veering off the road. He was born October 12, 1951 in Paintsville, Kentucky to the late Garland Whitfield and Alice (Neeley) Adams.Willie was a veteran of the United States Army and served in Vietnam. Willie was an excavator by trade, worked at Columbus Coal and Lime Co. for many years and then was the caregiver to his parents. He enjoyed hunting, working on cars, and spending time with family and friends.He is survived by a daughter, Lori Adams of Worthington; a son, Will Adams of Buckeye Lake; a sister, Sue (Dave) DeLong of Newark; a brother-in-law, Jim Shaw of Newark; three nieces; three nephews; former wife and mother of his children, Gerry Adams; and his loyal dog and faithful companion, Cracker Jack.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Oneta Shaw; and a nephew, Dana Ray Radar.Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, at Hoskinson Funeral Home, 285 East Main Street in Kirkersville. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Kirkersville Cemetery where military honors will be observed by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, P.O.
