William Clifford Laughner, Jr.

William Clifford Laughner Jr., age 68, of Newark, OH died unexpectedly Thursday, July 5, 2018 in the Country Lane Gardens Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Thornville. He was born November 10, 1949 in Washington, PA to the late William Clifford Laughner Sr. and Euphemia Murray-Jenkins. Bill was a 1967 graduate of Bethlehem Center High School. In 2005, he retired from Greif Bros, Inc., Delaware, OH, after 37 years of service. He was passionate about helping and aiding others and served as a Paramedic for much of his life. Bill was a devout Christian and an upstanding member of his community. In his later years, he loved watching baseball, reading scripture, and following his friends and family on social media. Bill is survived by his wife, Sharon Laughner of Newark, OH; his children, Shannon Laughner of McMurray, PA, Shawndel Laughner of Richeyville, PA, Shalynn Sapotichne of Okemos, MI and William C. Laughner III, of Brooklyn, NY; four grandchildren, Jordan Centofanti, Harlow Guy, Xavier Sapotichne and Savella Sapotichne.
