William H. Daniel, Jr.

William H. Daniel, Jr., 78 of Heath, passed away on March 23, 2022 at his residence. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on May 9, 1943 to the late William Sr. and Thelma Irene (Whaley) Daniel. William proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Prior to retirement, he was a security officer at Nationwide Children’s Hospital for many years. He was a member of the Newark American Legion, Post 85. He enjoyed collecting buckeyes, making necklaces and bracelets; along with woodworking, where he made bird houses. Most important was the time he spent with his family and friends. Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Sharyn Yvonne (Bush) Daniel, whom he married February 4, 1967; daughter, Jacki L. Allen; son, William “Billy” Daniel; sisters, Gay Hughes, Carol (Ernest) King and Judy McClaskey; grandson, Dustin (Christina) Allen; great grandchildren, Gabriel, Aaron, Laycee, Nevaeh and D.J.; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Fritz Daniel; son-in-law, Charles Allen; and nephews, Keith Hughes and Ernie King.
