William Donald Grubb

Memorial Services for William Donald “Don’ Grubb, 82, of Somerset, will be held on Sunday, December 1, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of The Thornville home of HOSKINSON Funeral and Cremation Service, 56 South Main Street, Thornville, with Joe Aldred as celebrant. Military honors will follow the services at the funeral home. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until time of the service at 2:00 p.m.

Don passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 27, at his home following an extended illness. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on December 30, 1936, the son of the late Paul B. and Ethel Charlotte (Thomas) Grubb. He served honorably in the US Marine Corps and the US Air Force. He had retired as an over the road truck driver.

Don loved reading, re-building cars, golfing, bowling and especially his dogs Riley and Buster.

He is survived by his loving family: his wife Shelley (Davis) whom he married on September 21, 1957, his children Kathy (John) Robertson, Kelly (Richard) Roberts, William D. (Patricia) Grubb Jr., his seven grandchildren Mikel (Jessica), Katie (Brian), Heather(Jeff), Ryan(Corrie), Holly, Keith and Jen; his eleven great-grandchildren; and his sister Donna Sheridan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Joan Luft.

The family prefers that memorial contributions be directed to FairHoPe hospice, 282 Sells Rd, Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
