William E. Rathgaber

Funeral services for William E “Bill” Rathgaber Jr., 49, of Pataskala, will be held at 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, July 2, 2019, in the Hebron Church of the Nazarene. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10:00 am until time of the funeral services at 12:00 Noon. Bill passed away at his home on Friday evening, June 28, 2019, following an extended illness. He was born in Columbus, on August 1, 1969, the son of William E. and Nancy (VanMeter) Rathgaber Sr. who survive. He was a graduate of Watkins Memorial H.S., class of 1987, and was an outstanding baseball player. He also enjoyed fishing on his bass boat. He is survived by his loving family, in addition to his parents includes his sister Nancy, his aunts and uncles Bob & Christie, Georgia & Jack, Raymona, Shirley and Linda; his god-brother Travis; his four god children Raeanne, Haley, Travis, Alex; along with numerous cousins. His longtime friend Ern Sayre and his canine companion Shadow also survive. In addition to his grandparents, he was preceded in death by two uncles William VanMeter and Larry Capps, cousins Larry Capps Jr. and Karen Kneice.
