Wilma Jean Milner

A funeral service celebrating the life of Wilma Jean Milner, 99, of Newark, will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, with James Savage officiating. Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, on Wednesday, two hours prior to the funeral service, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wilma was born in Newark, Ohio on July 1, 1924 to the late Randall and Nellie (Unternaher) Snelling. She passed away at Altercare North on December 13, 2023. Prior to retirement, Wilma was an administrative assistant with her family’s business, M & P Towing in Newark for over 50 years. She was a member of the Newark Church of Christ and the Sharon Valley Club. She enjoyed playing bingo, visiting with her sisters and friends. She especially enjoyed riding as a passenger in the M & P tow trucks with her grandchildren. Survivors include her loving daughter, Barbara Prince; son-in-law, Tim Roberts; grandchildren, Chris Prince, Paul (Michelle) Prince, Tracy (Charity) Prince, and Stephen (Nicole) Roberts; great grandchildren, Kristin Prince-Cunningham, Stephen Roberts and Michael Roberts; step-great grandchildren, Dale (Amber) Nott, Jai (Darcy) Nott, Wesley Nott and Brandon Miller; great great grandchildren, Brooklyn and Gracie; step-great great grandchildren, Madison, Slade, Kaylin, Emma and Brice; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Milner; son, Gary Milner; daughter, Gloria Roberts; son-in-law, Richard Prince; and sisters, Mary McKinley, Betty Clark and June McKee. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Licking County Humane Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service is honored to care for Wilma and her family.
