A funeral service, celebrating the life of Wilma E. Wonders Ford, 91, of Pataskala, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2015 in the chapel of the Kirkersville home of HOSKINSON Funeral & Cremation Service with Chaplain Mark Pierce as celebrant. Burial will follow at Greenhill Cemetery, Johnstown. Wilma died peacefully on Tuesday morning, January 13, 2015 in Pataskala following an extended illness. She was born in Putnam County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Samuel Andrew and Gladys Almeda (Sharp) Ladd. She worked for many years at the I-gene straw factory in Johnstown and Columbus, she also enjoyed her family, cooking, music and working with flowers. While she was able, she operated her own greenhouses in the area. She is survived by her loving family: her sons Cletus (Joy) Wonders, Wayne (Kim) Wonders, daughters Dianna (Alec) Thomson and Darlene Wonders, daughter-in-law Anita Wonders,step children David (Barbara) Ford, Linda Willison, step daughter-in-law Judy Ford (Mrs. Ted), along with many grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren and sister Gladys McDowell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands Cletus Golland Wonders and Chester T. Ford Sr., sons Carl E Wonders in 1963 and Kenneth L. Wonders in 2014, and daughter Phyllis E. Wonders in 1943, step-son Chester T.Ted Ford Jr. in 2006 step-daughter Sharon Smith in 2013 and step-grandson Teddy Ford in 2008. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until time of the funeral services at the funeral home, 285 E Main St. (US Rt 40) in Kirkersville.
