Doug Crawford Iii

A memorial service celebrating the life of Wilmer Douglas “Doug” Crawford III, age 79, of Pataskala, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 19, at the First Presbyterian Church, 405 South Main Street in Pataskala with Pastor Janet Hufford officiating. Friends may call from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the church.

Doug was born August 5, 1940 in Tiffin, Ohio to the late Wilmer Douglas Crawford II and Mary Ellen (Hasemeyer) Crawford. He passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Tuscany Gardens.

Doug was a graduate of Tiffin High School and Otterbein University. He was an educator for 35 years and retired from Westerville City Schools where he had taught 5 ^th grade. Following retirement, he moved to Florida where he had been active with the Elks for many years. He was a member of Pataskala Lodge #404 F & AM and enjoyed handyman work and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Evalyn Ann (Smales) Crawford; six children, Fred (Linda) Goldstein of Pataskala, Susan Goldstein (Rick Blazer) and David Goldstein (Erin Wilichowski), all of Conyers, Georgia, Michael (Denise) Goldstein of Reynoldsburg, W. Douglas (Ann) Crawford IV of Panama City Beach, Florida and Heidi (Charles) Krebs of Columbus; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Priscilla Bednarz.
