Floyd Wilson, Jr., age 84, of Newark, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at the Newark Healthcare Center. Floyd was born January 17, 1935 in Midland, Michigan to the late Floyd Wilson, Sr. and Merle (Carmichael) Wilson.
Floyd was an avid fan of the Lone Ranger and was the Lone Ranger at heart. He was very proud of the fact that he met Clayton Moore twice. He had his picture taken with him and Clayton also gave him a silver bullet. Floyd also enjoyed collecting pop cans.
He is survived by his twin brother, Larry (Phyllis) Parsons of Glenford; niece, Sherrie (Kim) Bates of Hopewell; nephews, Mark (Somai) Parsons of Rock Springs, Wyoming and Matt (Amy) Parsons of Glenford; great-niece, Karen (Wes) Bell; great-nephews, Clinton (Lisa) Bates and Cody Kitchen; great-great-nephew and niece, Nash Bell and Leyna Bates.
A graveside inurnment service will be held at a later date in Fairmount Cemetery with Pastor Mark Pierce officiating.
