Jerry L. Butler, 67, of Newark, passed away at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville on June 14, 2021. He was born in Zanesville, Ohio on September 14, 1953 to the late Paul and Faye Belle (White) Butler. Prior to retirement, he was a welder and fabricator for many years. He was a member of the National Hot Rod Association and the National Rifle Association. He had the ability to fix anything, enjoyed drag racing, hunting and spending time with his loving family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Cinda K. (Hook) Butler, whom he married August 21, 2010; children, Jamey (Heidi) Mays, Charles (Ashley) Hook, Travis (Jess) Butler and Kendra Simpson; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; four brothers; three sisters; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Andrew Butler and Lance Mays; and three brothers. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Jerry to James Cancer Hospital.
