John G. Mason

John Geordie Mason, age 50, of Newark, passed away on November 24, 2020 at OhioHealth Grant Medical Center in Columbus. John was born December 6, 1969 in Newark, Ohio.

John was a 1989 graduate of Licking Valley High School and the JVS. He attended Eagles Nest Tabernacle. He loved being outdoors, fishing and working on cars.

He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Christal Jean (Banks) Mason, whom he married September 5, 2009; mother, Deborah L. (Miller) Mason; brother, Joshua Ryan Mason (Randell Hutchison); sisters, Kimberly (Tim) Duston and Darla Mason; aunt, Julie Houseman; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Nancy and Phil Banks; brother-in-law, Clayton Banks; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

John was preceded in death by his father, John Mason, who died April 14, 2018.

Following cremation, John will be laid to rest with his father at Wilson Cemetery.
